About this app

Connect your phone's better camera directly to OBS Studio. Simply connect via USB or connect your phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi network to add live feeds to your live streams, recordings, and online meetings.

■ No Frame Lagging

CelerCam prioritizes sending the latest feed. If transmission is slow, older frames won't accumulate, preventing latency from increasing over time. It also automatically adjusts the bitrate when Wi-Fi quality deteriorates to maintain smoothness.

■ Low Latency Measured in Real-World Testing

The Redmi 10 2022 achieved a 1920 × 1080 resolution at 30 fps via USB. The median latency from phone capture to PC was 9.8 ms, while the p95 measured 21.2 ms. This measurement only includes OBS rendering, display updates, and viewing latency.


■ Automatic Reconnection After Disconnection

If the cable becomes loose, the app restarts, or the WiFi experiences a brief interruption, there's no need to restart OBS. All five disconnections in the test were automatically recovered, with recovery times ranging from 1.1 to 1.3 seconds. In another 10.9-minute endurance test, 19,569 frames were captured without any disconnections, just one frame short of the theoretical value.

■ Seven Languages ​​Available

Traditional Chinese, English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. The default language follows your phone's, but you can also choose your own in the settings.

■ Three-Step Introduction

1. Install the free CelerCam OBS plugin on Windows or Mac, then restart OBS.

2. Turn on CelerCam on your phone, connect it via USB, or ensure your phone and computer are using the same Wi-Fi network, then press Start.

3. In OBS, select "Sources → Join → CelerCam," and then you can use it like a regular OBS source.

■ Requirements

・Android 8.0 or later

・Windows: OBS Studio 32.2 or later

・macOS: OBS Studio 32 or later, Apple-powered Macs

・The mobile app and computer plugin must be the same version.

■ Current Limitations

・A separate CelerCam OBS plugin needs to be installed on your computer; the plugin is free and can be downloaded from the official website.

・CelerCam cannot currently be directly used as the system camera for Zoom, Teams, or other programs. Please join the feed to OBS first, and then use the OBS virtual camera as needed.

• Before using USB mode on Xiaomi/Redmi phones, you need to enable "USB Installation" in Developer Options.

• Resolution, refresh rate, and camera controls vary depending on the phone's hardware; the 1080p30 figures mentioned above are from a specific test phone and do not guarantee that every device will offer the same mode.

Video is only transferred between the phone and your designated computer. CelerCam does not have a cloud video server, does not perform analysis or tracking, and has no third-party SDK.
