Embr is a messaging app built around a single idea: nothing lingers.

Messages disappear seconds after they're seen. Stories fade in 24 hours.
Your past doesn't follow you around in here — so you can finally be
honest, soft, unhinged, real.

— What you can do —

• 1-on-1 chats with messages that fade as they're read.
• Sealed messages — your message stays hidden under "tap to reveal"
until they tap it open. One look, then it's gone.
• Circles — small private rooms where everything posted fades in
24 hours. Drop a 3am thought, leave no trace.
• Orbit — match with one random person who's awake right now. No
swiping, no endless feed. One spark at a time.
• Glimmers — 24-hour status posts for one person, your close circle,
or everyone.

— What we don't do —

• No public profile or social graph. People find you by your @handle
and nothing else. No phone number. No real-name requirement.
• No chat history scrollback. Once a message has been read, it fades.
Sealed messages disappear after one view.
• No screenshots that come back to haunt you — we don't surface old
conversations to anyone.
• No selling your data to advertisers. We collect the minimum we need
to run the service, keep people safe, and meet legal requirements.

of the internet where the conversation can actually breathe.

— Built with care —

Messages are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256-GCM).
Your password cannot be reset — not even by us — so the only person
who can open your account is you. Lose the password, the account's
gone. Sign-up needs only a @handle and a password. Email and photo
are optional.

— Important to know —

This is a privacy-first app, not a permanent archive. If you need
records of your conversations to stay searchable forever, this isn't
the app for you — and that's the point.
