About this app

IP98 is a tool built for a specific purpose: helping people outside Iran reach online services that only accept connections from Iranian IP addresses. IP98 is a specialized tool for accessing Iranian domestic services and is not intended for general-purpose international web browsing.

How it works
• The app uses Android's VpnService to establish an encrypted connection to a server located in Iran. While connected, your device's internet traffic is routed through that server, so the services you access see an Iranian IP address.
• IP98 is suited to reaching Iranian services rather than to general international browsing.
• A foreground service keeps the connection active while the VPN is on, with a persistent notification indicating its status.

What to expect
• By default, all of your device's traffic is routed through the server (a full tunnel).
• Split tunneling is available: in Settings → Excluded apps, you can select specific apps to exclude from the tunnel. Excluded apps use your device's normal connection instead and are not routed through the server.
• The VPN does not keep logs of your browsing or connection activity. The app includes account and advertising features; the data these involve is described in our Privacy Policy and the Data safety section.

IP98 requires an email-based account and offers a free, ad-supported tier alongside optional paid subscriptions.
