Smoke Point is an app used by firefighters and the public to provide location information about new fires in the wildland. Smoke Point is purpose-built for triangulation of fire position using ALERTCalifornia and Alert Wildfire cameras and the phone's built-in camera.

This app is very rough and buggy and unfortunately it can't seem to get the direction I'm looking right. Also if I attempt to manually input lat and long it wants letters added and I only get a number pad to work with.

Great app, will be a key tool for the public to assist the fire departments and first responders in locating a fire's exact location quickly. Rather than conflicting descriptions of where a fire is, which can slow down response times.

Excellent even in this early version. Note that local participation required for app to be useful.
