🔒 Permissions & Accessibility

Sproutly's optional Brutal Mode uses Android's AccessibilityService API to help you stay focused. When you turn this mode on, the service detects when you open a distracting app during a focus session and returns you to Sproutly so your session isn't broken.

This feature only reads the package name of the app currently in the foreground, and only while a focus session is active. It does NOT read your screen contents, capture text or keystrokes, record audio, or collect any personal data, and nothing is sent off your device.

The AccessibilityService is OFF by default, is enabled only with your explicit consent, and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Accessibility or by uninstalling the app. Sproutly is fully usable without it.
