About this app

Waslane connects your Android phone to your Mac and iPad over your local Wi-Fi. Mirror your Android screen on the big display, transfer files both ways, and handle your SMS and notifications from your computer. No cloud, no account, no tracking.

This app is free. It pairs with the Waslane app on your Mac and iPad, which handles the connection and your license. Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi and you are connected.

WHAT IT DOES
• Mirror Android to Mac and iPad, and control your phone from the big screen
• Android file transfer for Mac in both directions, without cables or Android File Transfer
• Read and reply to SMS on your Mac
• See notifications from every app and reply right there
• Universal clipboard between your phone and your computer
• Browse photos and contacts, share your battery level

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE (REMOTE CONTROL)
Waslane uses Android's AccessibilityService API for exactly one feature: controlling your phone from the paired Mac or iPad. When you tap, swipe or scroll on the mirrored screen, the service performs that input on the phone and triggers the system actions Back, Home, Recents and the notification shade. It does not read screen content, it collects no data, and nothing is sent to any server. Android offers no narrower API for injecting input. The feature is optional: the app shows a disclosure first, you enable the service yourself in the accessibility settings, and you can switch it off there at any time. Everything else in Waslane works without it.

SMS ON YOUR COMPUTER
Waslane asks for the SMS permissions for one purpose: showing your text messages on the paired Mac or iPad and sending a reply you write there. Your conversations only go to your own paired device, directly over your Wi-Fi and encrypted with TLS 1.3, with no server in between and no copy kept anywhere. The app shows a disclosure before it asks, the permission is optional, and everything else in Waslane keeps working without it. Waslane does not have to be your default SMS app.

A RELIABLE KDE CONNECT ALTERNATIVE
If you came here looking for a KDE Connect alternative for Mac, this is it. Waslane is native to Mac and iPad and built to stay stable, even on macOS 26. No dropped transfers, no restarts.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your devices talk directly over Wi-Fi, end to end encrypted with TLS 1.3. There is no server in the middle, and nothing leaves your network.

Get the Waslane app for Mac and iPad from the App Store to complete the setup.
Mirror your Android on Mac and iPad, send, SMS and notifications. Local.

What’s new

SMS now gets the same consent screen as remote control and notifications. Before Waslane asks for the permission, it explains which messages go to your paired Mac or iPad, how they are encrypted and how to withdraw the permission. No other changes.
