In dynamic scenarios—such as evolving airway obstruction or tension pneumothorax—ventilation often remains unrealistically normal, reducing clinical realism and weakening decision-making practice.
The SimOccluder system addresses this gap by allowing instructors to dynamically modify airway resistance during training scenarios. Paired with the SimOccluder device, the app enables real-time control of airflow obstruction to better reflect patient deterioration or improvement as a scenario unfolds.
