Our data comes from a variety of sources including our own in-house forecast models and the Bureau of Meteorology. The Weatherzone Total Lightning Network is the most advanced lightning detection network in Australia, with lightning data delayed by up to 10 minutes for app users. For real-time lightning data for businesses, please see: https://business.weatherzone.com.au/products/total-lightning/.

This has been my go to app for years, especially its weather radar. It has great features with a choice of layers, but unfortunately it has become very unreliable, since the so called upgrade. BOM app is quick to load and so too its radar; switch to WZ and the wheel spins, going nowhere. If BOM radar had WZ features, now that would be perfect.

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are experiencing radar issues. Would you be able to contact our team by sending an email to help@weatherzone.com.au Someone will be able to assist you (a uninstall/reinstall has worked for a few users) Regards

I have used Weatherzone for many years, even the PC version, and have the "paid" version installed. However, Weatherzone now does not even load about 90% of the time. It used to be the only weather app to have, but now it is so unreliable it is not worth having. I have uninstalled it, rebooted my phone and reinstalled it, and after 1 or 2 uses it will not load ... the circle just goes round and round, and after a couple of minutes I give up.

Ads became very obtrusive and I was going to delete the App. I would have rated it 1 at that time. Now it has been improved and is usable so rating is 4. I like the 48hour graph of temperature, rain and wind strength/direction. Would like to see rain map available over a wider range to see where next rain band is coming from. Would also like to see a blue dot on the map showing current location.
