Nook from Barnes and Noble was my first e-reader, and it remains my go-to for any e-book it will read. Some proprietary texts or other essential works not I Nook supported formats force me to use other readers, but my desire is always to find a Nook - compatible format if at all possible. The ability to annotate my books as I read, and the extensive library available makes me choose and shop Nook store selections before I go to any other. I have been using a Nook TabS2 by Samsung, but I recently I have transited to a Samsung TabS3 10.1, and I have even more flexibility in reading. Nook still remains as my e-reader of choice. It us that good! No, that excellent!!!!!
I love the way a book or paper or magazine is downloaded straight to my nook or nook app without the need of my computer. I'd give it 100 stars if I could. I do wish that after you read a book it would go to a safe storage rather staying in the library. But I really love this app over other E-READER apps. I also LOVE the Lend-Me books as well!! Books I may not look for but love reading as well!!!!
Just received my new notebook for Christmas 2017, and Nook was already added and I had 8 new magazines to read for free. After strolling through the Nook Library, I love all the books, magazines, and other reading material that is available at my finger tips. I can sample read any book or magazine before purchasing. The library has an enormous amount of reading material and so easy to navigate through. The only annoyance I have is needing to put in my credit card information just to read free books, magazines, etc. If they're free, why does one need a credit card? Amazingly enough, the free magazines that came were already registered for this notebook. I should give it 4 stars for that, but I just find Nook to be such a real convenience for me and have to give it 5 stars. Love, love, love it!
The reading experience is nice and highlighting text is easy. The problem is that the web version does not show your highlights or bookmarks and there is no way to export these from your phone. In other words, this is pretty useless if you are a college student writing a paper and needing to quote material. Much better reading apps for that. Only recommend for recreational reading.
The font size changes drastically from one step to another instead of gradual changes. I have the choice of either Tiny Prints it's very difficult to read as my eyes are changing and huge font size which means only a sentence or so on each page which is irritating to read. I have always enjoyed using the Nook app until I needed to increase the font. This needs to be fixed
As an avid book reader, this has been the best way for me to endulge. I have used this app for years. Having my books all in one place and not worrying about being able to find the next book in the series has made my passion for reading all the better. I would rather read a book on here when my husband is trying to sleep than use a book light on a paper/hardback book and stuggle to get comfortable without shinning it in his face. I highly recommend this app over any other app for reading.
