Pro version was great for a while but after having the app about 3 years, earned badges, bought medals, saw progress etc it was all gone when I installed it in my phone. Wiped. Support did check a few points but when I confirmed login etc basically it was a shoulder shrug and a "well it should have worked". I will continue to use the free version when my subscription ends but don't put money unto this. I'm looking for a more reliable app over the years.

I use this simple, easy to use app whenever I go walking. I use it to see how much ground I cover and whether I'm increasing my pace over time walking the same routes. Never had a prob with it and would recommend if you're a casual user or someone who wants to challenge themself a bit more. Can't comment on the Pro app, but the standard app is more than enough for what I need.

It counts your steps yes but it can be extremely irritating at times sometimes it counts when I'm not moving and doesn't count when I am. It does however have a feature allowing you to make the app more sensitive to movements or less which does help. But what really annoys me is the fact that my pacer didn't count one step for the past 3 days! This app can be a good way of tracking your steps but can really annoy you at times

We do need to work with current phone hardware, which sometimes registers steps through non-step motion. You can actually pause Pacer's step counting when necessary, or adjust sensitivity settings to help fix this. We'd like to investigate the other issues. Please contact us at Me->Settings->Feedback or support@mypacer.com.
