The next trip is now easier to plan. Using the CFR Călători for Android app you can quickly see trains to your future destination.

Buying tickets online is very easy. You need a CFR Călători account that you easily create with your email. Select the departure and destination stations and select the train with the hours that fits for you. Choose which class you are travelling to and the number of passengers. After you see the transaction price, you will fill in the passengers' first and last names. At the end, enter your card details and complete the order. You will receive in the app, by SMS and email an Id (ticket identification number) that you show to the conductor at checking tickets. Simple!

Ratings and reviews

I can't access the website or the app from outside Europe. I cannot create an account and also cannot check the train schedule in the app Update: I emailed as instructed, and received a reply almost immediately, saying there's nothing wrong with the app 😕 However, I tried again a week later, and it worked!

One of the best booking apps I have used in 20 years (used many), written by real experts who also understand UI. And very good product management. I also developed apps in my previous career. I know how difficult it is to do this well. Remarkable! Huge Kudos to you guys ! You gave me back the belief that there are still teams out there who can write good booking apps. And also kudos to the CFR for hiring such a team !

App works great for internal journeys. My only quarrel is that it doesn't provide the same services for international travel. I find myself doing trips to Vienna quite often and it would be nice to have the ticket and train info available in the app. l.e: it's also has disconnected features; it shows the delays in app but fails to send notifications about delay or take delays into consideration when sending notifications. Furthermore it lacks info about the platforms for arrival/departure
