About the game:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U video game consoles. The game is a part of The Legend of Zelda series, and follows amnesiac protagonist Link, who awakens from a hundred-year slumber to a mysterious voice that guides him to defeat Calamity Ganon before he can destroy the kingdom of Hyrule.

The title's gameplay and mechanics constitute a departure from the series' usual conventions, featuring an open-world environment, a detailed physics engine, high-definition visuals, and voice acting. Announced in 2013, the game was initially planned for release as a Wii U exclusive in 2015, but was delayed twice prior to its release on March 3, 2017. Breath of the Wild was a launch title for the Switch, as well as the final Nintendo-produced game for the Wii U.

Breath of the Wild received universal acclaim from critics, who deemed it to be one of the greatest video games of all time. Critics praised the game's open-ended, physics-driven gameplay that encourages player experimentation and exploration, with many calling it a landmark title in open-world game design, although minor criticism was directed at the game's technical performance at launch.

Ratings and reviews

This is my 2nd go-around with BOTW. First time I beat it on Wii U. Finally finished TOTK, so I thought I would try this on Switch. This app is invaluable in my opinion, if you pay the money that is. That makes it worth it. Of course, everything here can be found online for free, but not in one spot. It also tracks everything for you. The 1 hiccup I have encountered is when trying to put certain filters on the map. Ended up having to close the app out and clear the cache. STILL highly recommend.

Very helpful. Especially if you want to keep track of things like korok seeds & treasures you've found etc. I'm sure there was a lot of work put into it so I don't mind paying for this one. (I personally refuse to pay for most apps.) I've already played / beat this game on my own so I don't feel like I'm "cheating" this time, but you do you. If you are new to Legend of Zelda games and you're lost this is a helpful resource if you're sick of running around clueless lol. Highly recommend.

Excellent companion to BOTW!!! I only wish I had found this sooner! Pay the $8-10 one time fee if you are serious. The app works great, and you can check off your accomplishments (including each Korok seed). I'm catching up on checking everything off, and I will absolutely be buying the TOTK version when I start that game. If you love Hyrule, this app is a MUST!
