No ability to save maps? For a GPS based app that could be used in remote locations there should be some way to save selected caches and the map data for those caches before heading out to be prepared for the very likely event cell signal is lost.
Loved it in the beginning When I first downloaded this app there were a bunch of caches I was able to try and find with my kids while out on our walks. It was a little hard at first bc you don't know what to expect to look for. Just as we started getting the hang of things to look for bam! you've made most of them premium. I went to go back to old ones I couldn't find and was very saddened to see they were now locked. I hope they open some back up for us!
I don't know what you people are complaining about I mean it's a free app are you really expecting the best of the best? I think that is pretty great for a free app.
Terrible idea for a treasure hunt This is way too advanced of a concept than what anybody but the most intense outdoorsman/woman would actually appreciate. I was really hoping for a kid-friendly approach, more like Little Free Library. Instead, my daughter came out of a short 10-foot hike completely covered in burrs and having fallen hard on her knee. If you're in to this kind of secret society BS, great. But I can't recommend it to anybody because it's purposefully over complicated.
No complaints from me and with Verizon service I beat out my friend's IPhone with GPSing every time. Just learned this week how to use the coordinates on the compass...don't need a Garmin now...yah
Apple Version is Better No one loves a free app like me, but I hate the fact that the Apple Free Version is wat better. Not to mention the full version has such awful ratings... So yeah, I can complain that its not good when the paid full version is worse! Update the full version and make it just as good quality as Apple and I'll buy it in a heartbeat. As for those who complain about the concept of geocaching, you need to read up on it before you do it. As for the 'premiums', talk to the cache owners, they are the ones who set it.
Here are the latest changes to the Geocaching Intro App:
- Fancy new design updates
- Added Hungarian, Greek, Estonian and Turkish languages
