WHAT YOU NEED TO USE THIS APP
Available programming depends on your Spectrum TV package. Some titles require you to connect to your Spectrum In-Home WiFi. A Spectrum TV subscription, username and password are required to sign in.

Ratings and reviews

Big downside - can't view local channels using mobile data (which is weird, because this didn't used to be an issue). Currently, when I try to view local channels on the app, it keeps giving me a message to please sign into wifi, due to "geographic constraints." I am not traveling, but in my own home, and would be happy to connect to our wifi, except for the part where The Power Is Out. This was not an issue the last time there was a power outage - please fix this.

Two complaints, why I don't use this app: 1. The Spectrum TV app isn't available on VIZIO televisions. They tell me it's not compatible. But this is software. I'm a former software engineer; I'm not fooled. Make it compatible by writing software that makes it compatible. Other apps work on VIZIO televisions: this one should too. 2. The channel menu on the phone is terrible. It ought to be like the Spectrum cable box's channel guide. Instead it looks and feels amateurish. Do better, Spectrum.

Still pretty much useless unless you never go outside of your home WiFi range. Which given the number of outages in the area means it's useless a lot of the time. Spectrum is utterly horrible in every way. And after decades of high costs and low quality service, there# finally fiber optic being strung. Thank goodness! Cheaper, way faster, 100% better.
