About this game

Three colours, five tubes, two empty. Tap a tube: the top colour lifts. Tap another: it pours, if it finds the same colour or empty space there. Gather every colour into a single slot and the level is sorted. Water Sort: Mystery Island is a free sorting puzzle, and everything there is to learn fits in those two taps.

THE RULE NEVER CHANGES, THE MATTER DOES
Seven materials, one single move. Liquid in a glass vial on the island's trunk, marbles in a straight tube on the second visit. Then, branch by branch: nuts unscrewing off a threaded rod, cakes and sweets in a jar, animals in a basket, jewels in a casket. Nothing else moves: not the rule, not the move, not the four units per slot. The competition changes game when it changes scenery.

FURTHER ON, YOU SORT BY SHAPE AND NOT BY COLOUR
The last four materials carry eight plainly different kinds, not eight tints of the same object. Cupcake, doughnut, macaron, eclair, slice, cookie, pretzel, truffle for the cakes — and just as many clear silhouettes for the sweets, the animals and the cut stones. Sorting becomes recognition, and the game stays whole for anyone who struggles to tell a red from a green.

FROM THREE COLOURS TO EIGHT
Four units per slot, two empty ones, and the ramp climbs on its own: three colours across five slots on the first level, fifteen moves to unwind; eight colours across ten on the last, seventy moves. 224 levels on the map, sixty more kept aside for the daily appointment.

YOU CANNOT LOSE
No hearts, no lives, no countdown. A sorting game has no clean failure: you get stuck, and you start over. Dealing again is free, from the very first level. You do not lose a round: you have not sorted it yet.

THREE HELPERS, AND ONLY ONE CHANGES THE POSITION
Starting over costs nothing. Undoing the last pour does: a pour is final, nothing else in the game takes it back. The third is not a hint, and that is deliberate — it is ONE SLOT MORE, once per level, and its place waits for you in dotted outline from the moment the level opens. A player stuck here is not stuck for want of seeing a legal move: he is stuck because every legal move is a bad one. Pointing one out gets him nowhere; an empty slot does.

THE LEVELS ARE BUILT BACKWARDS
Nothing is shuffled at random: every level starts from the sorted state and unwinds through inverse moves. The solution is therefore not checked, it is manufactured — no unsolvable level can come out of the pack. And the length of the unwinding sets the difficulty.

A NOTEBOOK WRITTEN BY TWO
You wake up on a beach without knowing your name. The notebook gains a page at every node: what you see, in your own hand, and below it ORA's answer — she knows where you are and will not say.

THE ISLAND SLEEPS UNDER THE HAZE
The map is covered. Fifty-six nodes, six branches shut behind a lock, one key halfway along each. Every level sorted pushes back a piece of haze, and it is the map that decides which material comes next.

TOKENS ARE EARNED ELSEWHERE
Eight detours along the trail: the riddle of the day, the gold rush, then the pairs, the bomb, the eye, the sequence, the count, the shell game. Short games that pay in tokens, and past ten tokens you walk away with them even when you lose.

• Seven materials, one single rule: liquid, marbles, nuts, cakes, sweets, animals, jewels
• Eight shapes per material on the last four branches: you sort by silhouette, not by tint
• 224 levels from three to eight colours, solvable by construction
• No hearts, no lives, no timer: you cannot lose, and starting over is free
• The paid helper is one slot more, not a hint
• A brand-new level every day, and eight detours that pay in tokens
• Offline: everything ships inside the app, no wifi needed
• Thirty-eight languages, and an island that keeps losing haze
Pour one colour onto the same one. Seven materials, one rule, nothing to lose.
