this app is good, but need a gadget to facilitate using the remote.

It's a great app and I was able to operate my fan perfectly...except for the ads. Woke in the night and went to switch on the fan with the app and all hell broke loose where the app played a Temo ad at full volume and wouldn't stop. Bleary eyed I had to put the light on to see what was going on, thus waking myself up. Can we have a paid for, ad free version please?

This said it was compatible with my phone. I installed it, went into the help section when it didn't work and none of the fixes helped. It turns out my cell phone needs an IR receive for this to work. Nothing about that was mentioned. Since my remote stopped working, I have found that a smart plug will allow me to turn my fan on/off remotely.
