I have to use this before but not very sucessful. This time around I am doing fantastic. a few recommendations for future up grades. it would be good if I could see the total distance ran/walk for each of the different cycles eg walk 5 mins= distance, run 5 minutes= distance etc all the way throuht the workout. Also i would like to customise a "free run" where I could choose the time for walk and run intervals as I am running more than the 3 days each week, and feel like I need to change it a little bit to fit my fitness levels during the week.
I've tried various other running apps and this one is the best by far. Best interface, best training plan, best music integration. The issue I have is with the GPS tracking. I'm not sure if it's the app or my phone, but it records my distances as highly inaccurate. My 1.56 mile route was logged as .10 miles. MapMyRun has better GPS but the rest of the app is worse, so I need two apps open during runs... really hope this gets fixed.
Hi I love the app and use it whenever work forces a gap in my routine. One thing I think your app would benefit from is a progress marker that lets you know where you are in the days program. If you need an example the nhs free couch to 5k has one and its really useful for staying motivated. It helps keep you jogging however slow and stops you walking and feeling like its to much. I have M.E so every step hurts some days and every bit of motivation helps. Thanks
Things I like, it works well on Android and with Google Play Music. It has a range of different voices to prompt your run/ walk changes, the Drill Sergeant is good because his instructions are very clear. The graphics are clear and progress is well illustrated. I don't like (and this may be a mistake on my part) instructions are given over muted music, I would prefer the music was paused completely. Also some music tracks seem to be played back at a low volume . Generally I think it's a great app. I'm glad I got it its a good motivating way to do C25K.
See, this app started out awesome. I'm on week nine, it's taken me like 14 weeks to get there because I work, and have a life but I'm doing it. On around week five my GPS stopped tracking my work outs as accurately as before but hey, I live on a military base so I gave it that excuse. Then tonight, I ran my heart out, 30 minutes I did not stop once. I was so proud. I could feel that cool down coming, I earned it. Then I hear that sweet voice say, alright let's warm up, do a brisk walk. My heart died a little. I look every now and then to see where I am in my run, I wear my phone on my arm in a band, so i know it wasn't my fault. I will continue to try to use this app only because I paid for it. I'm happy that the 5k to 10k is free, because given the chance to try this again I wouldn't. I'd print out a gosh darn chart, put it on my fridge and use the timer on my fitbit.
Great app. The only problem im experiencing is that if you hit the back button in error it resets the last place you were runmimg to the begimmimg of that section. Not a big deal until you are in week six and on a 22 minute run. They shpuld have some type of memory built in to regain your spot during a workout. If there is a way, please let me know. Thank you.
