About this app

This app lets you restrict the volume to a reasonable level. It has premium features to lock the volume, set minimum volume levels, set separate limits for headphones or Bluetooth, and set a PIN lock for kids.

Many children love to blast their movies and TV shows at full volume. This is true for both neurotypical and autistic children. If you configure it properly, it can help protect their ears from permanent hearing loss.

I hope it gives you peace of mind and restores some sanity to your life as well!

Accessibility Service Usage:
Volume Limiter 2 uses the AccessibilityService API to provide the optional "Hide Volume Panel" feature. This service allows the app to detect when you press the physical volume buttons on your device and not show the system volume panel pop-up. It is intended for autistic children who are trying to raise the volume to 100% and stressed that they are unable to.
We value your privacy. The Accessibility Service is used strictly for monitoring volume up and down events. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data, and we do not monitor any other on-screen activity or keystrokes. This feature is disabled by default, entirely optional, and can be disabled at any time within the app settings. You also must opt-in after each app update per Google's Android security rules.

Works Great! Protects my son's hearing! Simple, easy to use. He just turned 3 and has known for a while how to turn up the volume. I got tired of constantly turning down the volume using my smart watch. I downloaded this app and just set a volume limit for music. When I receive a call, it is still my preferred listening level without readjusting the settings. As of 06/20/2024, App still works great and I like the look/ergonomics of the new update!

samsung s26 ultra forces very loud at volume #1 and louder as it goes up. This app doesn't lower the volume below that default of the phone. It only gives a different interface to the same loud sound. And the ability to block it from being turned up. It does not turn it down.

Thanks for your info. Yes, this app doesn't claim to and can't control the level between 0 and 1. That sounds like a really annoying phone issue and I hope you find something that helps. UPDATE: Samsung may have "Sound Assistant" on the Galaxy Store with "Change Media Volume Step" to give you more granularity.

This is the best app ive found—its perfect! Im actually considering buying premium features for the first time, but i have three suggestions to make it even better: Add a custom notification button to quickly toggle the limiter on/off, similar to "Do not disturb" or "Auto-rotate". Simplify the name. "Volume Limiter 2" feels generic—removing the "2" or finding a shorter, catchier name would be great. Update the icon to something more minimalist, perhaps in beige tones, to match the app's quality.
