Shared Storage is a peer-to-peer self-storage marketplace designed for both residents and businesses to list and monetize their underutilized space while giving renters access to convenient, secure, and affordable local storage alternatives. Our platform enables hosts to earn income from unused garages, driveways, warehouses, yards, and other suitable areas, while renters benefit from flexible, community-based options that often cost significantly less than traditional storage facilities.
Shared Storage operates strictly as a broker of space, facilitating the connection, communication, and transaction between hosts and renters. We do not own, manage, inspect, or control the spaces listed on the platform. All storage arrangements are agreements solely between the host and renter. Shared Storage assumes no responsibility or liability for the condition, safety, security, legality, or suitability of any listed space, nor for any loss, damage, theft, or claims arising from storage activities. By using the platform, both parties acknowledge and accept that Shared Storage’s role is limited to providing the marketplace, processing payments, and supporting the transaction.
To maintain platform operations and ensure a safe and reliable experience, standard service fees are applied to both hosts and renters at the time of booking. These fees enable us to provide customer support, and the continued development of new features across the platform.
Currently active across Ontario, Shared Storage is expanding Canada-wide with the goal of becoming the leading affordable alternative to conventional self-storage. Our mission is to make storage more accessible, budget-friendly, and community-driven. Whether someone needs space for vehicles, boats, cars, ATVs, RVs, equipment, seasonal items, or general household goods, we aim to accommodate all storage types by empowering people and businesses to share the space they already have.
