Work Log - Shift Tracker vs Work Log:
Work Log was originally created for Android in 2013 and has been continuously added to and improved since then. In 2023 Work Log - Shift Tracker was created from scratch. Creating a new app from scratch made it possible to add many features users have been requesting over the years, such as automatic cloud backups and syncing, and per shift wages.

In order to support the long term continued development of the improvement of all Work Log products and to cover the ongoing cost of cloud backups and syncing, the new business model is a subscription model. The original Work Log will not be going away, and you can continue to use it indefinitely.

Okay so first, I used the original app and transferred everything over to the new app when I was prompted to. I did have to adjust some of my settings that didn't transfer over but that isn't a big deal. I also love the dark mode. The reason for the 4 stars is because of the widget. The "punch in" side doesn't work so I have to select the "new shift" side which opens the app, and then I have to punch in that way. It's frustrating. I also miss the smallest widget that the original app used.

Thanks for using Work Log and for trying out the new app! There is an issue where the Punch In side can take some time/not start up if the app is not opened in the background, which is obviously not ideal. I'm currently working on a fix for the upcoming update. Thanks so much for the kind words and for the feedback! Sincerely, Andrew

Used to work fine up until yesterday. I can no longer login to my Google account for cloud sync, clicking on login via Google account just says error. Manual backups are also broken, it saves a backup file called backup not logdatabase, therefore you have to use a file manager to rename the backup file first before it can be used.

Thanks for using Work Log and for reporting the sign in bug. I'm releasing a fix for it as we speak. Sign up for the beta on the Play Store if you'd like to get the fix immediately. I haven't been able to reproduce the manual backup issue. If you can email me at ARforAndroid@gmail.com with any info/questions I'll be happy to help. Sincerely, Andrew

Does what it is supposed to do and does it the best. Some QOL i would suggest is the ability when copy data to make date ranges. Like when Im adjusting the info I copy could i set a date range. ie., copy today's info and make data for 05/26/26 thru 05/28/26. All in all the best time/work tracker. Trust me I tired 😩 them all.

Thank's for using Work Log! I'm very happy to say that I'm currently rolling out an update that adds the ability to duplicate multiple shifts at once, not exactly what you're looking for, but could help speed things up. You can join Beta for early access, or wait no more than a week. I'm adding your suggestion to my list as well. Sincerely, Andrew

What’s new

* Added the ability to copy multiple shifts at once, such as a pay period. Long-press a shift to select multiple shifts
* Added PDF and spreadsheet export options so you can customize date/time formats and hide optional values like expenses, mileage, tips, and more
* Paycheck summaries now show additional overtime pay instead of the full overtime value
