Love my Sensi! Have 2 of them now. Would like to be able to see decimal point temp, i.e. 75.6. Maybe you could add it as an option in tstat settings? It seems as though the "slow" cycle rate in settings still makes the system cycle too frequently. Also, please please please include hvac system analysis in the app, such as the length of time per day/per month that the HVAC system has run to keep track of usage habits.
Works very well! I work for a gas and electric utility in Michigan and we install these thermostats in many people's homes. I also use one in my own house on a boiler and even there it works flawlessly. The thermostat may not have the sensational look of the Nest or Ecobee or iComfort models but it doesn't have to. Everything you need is in the app itself, and in a lot of cases, utility rebate programs will make this thermostat cost next to nothing. If you're looking for a more connected home on a budget, look no further!
Thank you so much, Emerson, for FORCING ME TO REGISTER whenever I change my wifi network configuration. I registered this device a long time ago. My wifi configuration changes sometimes. Your process for getting your thermostat back online sucks enough without you FORCING ME TO REGISTER every time.
The app is getting worse with every update. When I first got it everything worked fine. But as the interface has been redesigned and updated the app loads slower and slower. With the newest updates it starts fighting you on changing temps. I can lower it 3 degrees only to have jump back up 2 degrees a second later. It's like they want it to annoy you.
Its pretty good. When it does work. Getting annoyed that the temperature jumps up and down 5 degrees when it feels like it. For example it suddenly reads 71 degrees when its actually 66 in the house. Only seems to do it when you want it to work properly. This is the second one to do it. Ready to go back to classic thermostats
I am more annoyed with the Sensi app than impressed. Goes offline frequently, and yes, I'm running the latest update. Then there's the matter of the useless dashboard. Why do I have to go to the dashboard when I only have one unit??? I can't make any changes from there, I have to go one step further to change my thermostat. I feel like this company doesn't even listen to user feedback. I'm strongly considering going to Nest.
