First issue: not all channels are available tonight. Excellent and love this. Not sure what the complaints are about if using Chromecast. Unfortunately, devices, internet speeds are all different. Some people may have a 10mbps plan and a four year old device. Not going to work well. You need to understand devices in this day and age . Also help the economy and invest in a new phone or tablet..lol So far about a month and maybe a buffer for a total of one minute combined with the channels tried. Only one instance when nothing loaded but that could have been a Chromecast issue. It would be nice to add a widget for favorite stations. Also more details for the programs instead of just a title. Got in on the $35 deal and this blows away Sling. Looking forward to Roku support as well. I am happy to keep this after the month trial.Thank you!
This is a great idea. Ive only started using it last night. This is fab idea but i still think it needs work. I wish it could cast like Netflix casts to my tv's. All TV's do not have the ability to add an app/widget. Some TV's might be older or not compatible. If I could cast from the APP to the TV it would be awesome
This service was hastily rolled out and it shows. I'm surprised these 2 media giants put out such a sorry product. Constant buffering keeps you from enjoying the experience. The "sporting events" access is misleading. The servjce sucks just as bad on the Fire Stick at home. I've cancelled my service and will delete the app at the end of the month.
The guide is terrible. It's almost use less. When scrolling through the guide, the time changes. For example, I want to see shows starting at 6pm. The guide will change to 7pm to 8pm, etc while scrolling unless I'm extremely careful. By the time I'm done scrolling trying to find my show, it will be over.
The fact my on demand content never shows is frustrating, only reason I have this still is because I have the $35 promo price, secondly why only a android mobile app and not a android tv app seems kinda backwards if you ask me. Really hoping you guys get things together soon I mean one of the biggest media providers in the US and you have probably the worst media app around.
This is clearly an inital version. Im happy they worked the kinks out w/watching NBC. No, they do not have it for my roku yet, but, i just simply do screen mirroring from one of my android devices to watch it on my TV. At days end im getting more channels tham i did with my paid service which i was paying twice as much for. I will wait it out with DirecTV Now for the beginners bumps to work themselves out. So far, so good.😊
