I am a GM in house mechanic and have been using app for 10 years and it has given me the most usability at home for reading and clearing codes and being able to diagnose all the modules on my vehicles. This is something that most other code readers can't do. I have purchased the GM and Toyota enhancement. For other cars I use generic reader. Really like the Wi-Fi app for Android phones gives me portability.

I just recently upgraded to the latest software and hardware including the ability to connect wirelessly. I couldn't be more impressed with the product and the support. I've been using Autoenginuity for years and I'm glad I upgraded. I feel like the negative reviews on this app and hardware aren't warranted. I think the people leaving the negative reviews really don't know what they're doing. If you just download the app it's not going to work if you haven't purchased the supporting hardware.

Sooo I am a shade tree mechanic. I maintain about 10 vehicles, model years 2000 through 2018. I bought the scan tool about 2 years ago to use with the android app. The company has updated the app and now says to use it I have to pay for the $150 upgrade AND I have to send my scanner in for an "update". If I needed new vehicles, sure this would make sense. But I don't understand why I have to pay these people an upgrade fee to keep using the same tool!!!! Just buy a nice autel unit. They work!!!
