Flex splits your monthly rent into smaller payments, helping you pay rent on time, improve cash flow, and build your credit history — so you can breathe easier every month.


Each month, you contribute part of your rent to unlock your credit line. We help you pay your rent in full and on time to your property when it’s due. You have the flexibility to choose your payment dates within the month, based on what works best for you and your finances.


Flexible Finance, Inc. (“Flex”) is a financial technology company, not a bank. All lines of credit, banking services, and payment transmissions are offered by Lead Bank. An application and credit assessment are required for approval. Credit line amounts vary based on eligibility (graphics are illustrative only); to access a credit line, you are required to make timely payments each month. Unsecured lines of credit are provided for a recurring monthly membership fee of $14.99 at 0% APR. A bill payment fee of 1% of your total rent is also charged when you pay your rent using the Flex app (additional card processing fee applies when using a credit card). Memberships automatically renew until canceled. Secured lines of credit are provided at 0–9% APR based on your credit worthiness. You are required to maintain a security deposit with Lead Bank. Other third party fees may apply. See your offer for more details. Positive rent payment history and information about your line of credit may be reported to one or more national credit bureaus. Terms and conditions apply. All loan proceeds are disbursed by Lead Bank; neither Flex nor any of its subsidiaries disburse loan proceeds or engage in the movement of consumer funds. Brokering activities are performed by Flexible Finance Brokering, Inc. Servicing and collection activities are performed by Flexible Finance Servicing, Inc.

UPDATE: Flex worked hard making the process effortless. App is great. Support response great. Recommend. OP: Flex took my money but applied the payment to the wrong account and I was unable to move into my apartment and I can't get the funds back because it's pending. Of course a bunch of automated emails. The app stated the correct property, but leasing office can't do anything and now I had to cancel movers, but they don't care.

I really do enjoy the convenience of splitting my rent. I think the monthly membership cost is a bit much considering its a separate fee aside from the fees charged for the payment. If the membership fee was 5 or 10 i would use it forever. There isn't even a discounted annual plan option. $15 a month is a bit much, and likely enough to not really be worth it in the long run for most people. You add the fees to the membership fee and you are looking at $25 extra. It's good short term though.

Update 10/24 My apartment complex was updating their system, I canceled flex to make sure my payment wasn't late. I reapply for flex, and my payment is more, and my credit is less. Nothing had changed with my credit score, and I have made my payments to flex early every time for over a year. I can see how much they value their customers. I have had a couple of issues with the app. No button to ok change rent payment amount, also no way to make early payment for first payment.
