Ratings and reviews

UPDATES. This is the 3nd time that I've tried Avast mobile, and I've had to uninstall it again due to it consuming so much of my battery, and my phone was always getting hot. And now it keeps asking me to allow something. I follow the steps given, but it keeps shutting it off. Not to mention, the little icon of the side of my screen keeps getting in the way even if I move it. I am done with Avast. I'm going to try AVG.

7-26-24: updating to 5 stars because it does what I need it to do, which is protect my phone. 5-23-23: It's been 3 years since my first review and this app has proven to be an excellent protection for my phone. Would recommend. 7-22-20: In the last month, the app has been skipping the nightly scan most nights and when it does do the scan, it is done 45 minutes late. Can't seem to find the problem.

Quits randomly. The persistent notification sometimes disappears and I have to manually open the program to get it going again. I don't have high confidence that I'm protected. And the nags to upgrade are pretty annoying. Don't bother to offer a free version if it sort of sucks. It doesn't give me enough confidence to upgrade.
