Ratings and reviews

So far, so good. it's definitely easy to pick up on, and to be able to read while you listen is definitely something that helps it sink in, at least for me. Babbel knows what parts need to be gone over, repeated to catch on, not just here's these words and what they mean, with no context. I know I have more to learn and more to catch onto, but babbel is absolutely without a doubt helping to improve at a much faster rate than just trying on my own. I absolutely recommend and would use again!!

The application is very professionally done and much better than other applications I have tried. There are, however, issues with what is advertised versus what is delivered. I was formerly fluent in German, but that was 30 years ago. I wanted to regain my skills to go back and visit. They have advertised in multiple places that their course work goes up to the C1 level. That is not the case(separate grammar does not as well). They may be counting Babbel Live, but it is misleading.

Overall it is a very good app, but the voice recognition is hit or miss. Unfortunately more misses than hits lately. The most recent update will NOT recognize any short words or short sentences. It was at least somewhat useful in previous versions, but it is now completely useless again. Google translate recognizes spoken words correctly. Currently my native speaking family members can not get a "correct" pronunciation, per Babbel. Fix it or just remove it please.
