mobile tan system is super glitchy. after you attempt to log in on your desktop, you are asked to supply the mobile TAN. Great, except when the app tells you there are new notifications in your "TAN & Notification inbox," when you enter it, nothing awaits you and you can't complete the process. every time I log in, I just cross my fingers that the TAN will arrive this time. Sometimes you're lucky. Sometimes you're not. It's very frustrating.

This is definitely not the expected behavior, is it possible that the device is in energy saving mode or that the app is not allowed to receive background messages? We kindly ask you to contact us via e-mail to mobile.feedback@unicreditgroup.at. We'd like to look into the topic.

The app forces re-entering the pin code whenever I switch back and forth between another app which is super annoying, but the fact that, during this time it forgets what was entered before drove me crazy. Somehow the developers expect that a regular user could remember an IBAN code+reference number+account name just to make a transfer.

When switching, the MobileBanking app might be closed automatically by the Android Task Manager to free up resources. Please check your energy saving settings and define an exception for MobileBanking app. Sometimes restarting the phone can help; this cleans up the system, and the Task Manager will no longer intervene.

I opened an account with Bank Austria when I first moved here and have not regretted it since. Everything from operations to the app interface to control has been smooth as it can be. I have faced no unnecessary hassles, never had to go to the bank again after opening the account as most of the things I ever needed were available in the app itself. The app gives you so much control of your account, while still being secure enough to avoid misuse. Kudos to the Bank Austria team!
