Ratings and reviews

When Fi3 came around with the subscription model it was supposed to include hardware upgrades. They had raised the price, where the earlier models you bought the device and paid for the service, for a time, a reduced rate. So they have an actual upgrade which they claim faster seek times, a serious need, they have pulled the free hardware upgrades, right after my subscription reupped. And battery life went from months to maybe 2 weeks. The Apple move. Planned obsolescence. Screw us.

I absolutely love the Fi Mini and have one for both of my Poms. It's the perfect size for their small necks. It tracks nearly everything, including steps, sleep, scratching, drinking, activity, and location. The app is easy to use, and the GPS provides peace of mind. I also enjoy the Fi community, where dogs can compare activity with others nearby. My only complaint is the battery life, which definitely needs improvement. The base station helps but it should be built in the unit.

Overall cool app that tracks the steps for our pup. However it requires you to allow precise GPS location permission 24/7. This drains my phone battery too quickly. I will not be renewing subscription because of this. Update: Apparently you are not allowed to cancel your subscription early. You must wait until it ends at autorenew time. Cancel it now so I can delete this off my phone. Delete my credit card.
