Ratings and reviews

When Fi3 came around with the subscription model it was supposed to include hardware upgrades. They had raised the price, where the earlier models you bought the device and paid for the service, for a time, a reduced rate. So they have an actual upgrade which they claim faster seek times, a serious need, they have pulled the free hardware upgrades, right after my subscription reupped. And battery life went from months to maybe 2 weeks. The Apple move. Planned obsolescence. Screw us.

Doesn't work well with Android. I've been working with fi support for weeks on end now. the fi mini keeps going offline and I have to restart it. it doesn't work well with Android and they don't warn you, so I might be asking for a refund. Their support has been pretty good, they definitely are trying to fix it but it's just taken too long and I rely on it to keep my cat safe so it's non-negotiable that it doesn't drop connection randomly.

First, the subscription amount is excessive. I received this as a gift so when it came time to pay again I decided against it. What I didn't realize is that without a subscription you get NOTHING. At least with Alltrails or Garmin (considering activity tracking apps and devices) you get some functionality, not here. Activity tracking is very inaccurate when you aren't carrying a device with the app running on it and I don't like running while carrying my phone.
