About this app

Most training apps tell you WHAT to do. None of them tell you WHY.

IronTally does. On every set.

You don't just see "82.5 kg × 8" — you see which sets from the past weeks led to that suggestion, which progression mode is active, and what happens if you go above or below it. No black box to switch off. There simply isn't one.

A workout tracker, gym log and hypertrophy coach in one — for strength training with a plan.

WHAT IRONTALLY DOES

• Explained suggestions — a tappable "why" behind every weight and rep suggestion
• Four progression modes for progressive overload — Classic, Dynamic, TopBackoff and Redline, switchable with a tap instead of a script
• A training log built for strength training — every set with weight, reps and RIR, there to read back whenever you want
• Beginner mode — no RIR, no jargon, straightforward double progression. Instead of "reps in reserve", one question in plain language: easy, hard, or barely made it? Switch back whenever you want more
• Personal records — detected automatically, and they survive a reinstall or a new phone
• Progress in numbers — history per exercise, estimated 1RM, weekly volume per muscle group against a hypertrophy target range
• Weekly volume per muscle group — against the target range from your own program, not a rule of thumb
• Autoregulation through RIR instead of rigid percentage plans — deload phases and training breaks included
• Rest timer with haptics, micro plates (0.5 / 1.25 kg), your own technique videos per set
• Training breaks are detected and named — instead of quietly averaged away
• German, English and Polish

YOUR DATA

Your training data belongs to you. If you sync across several devices, it is stored in the EU under GDPR. No sharing with third parties, no profiling for ads.

WHO IT'S FOR

For anyone who trains to a plan in the gym and wants to know why the plan says what it says. For experienced lifters who want to steer hypertrophy and progressive overload themselves — and for beginners in strength training who just need to know what goes on the bar today.

WHAT IRONTALLY DOESN'T DO

No promises about kilos in X weeks. No made-up AI score for your recovery. No numbers that don't hold up scientifically. If we can't calculate something honestly, we say so — instead of drawing a bar chart.

No ads in the middle of your workout.

GET STARTED

Free to start. No paywall before your first tracked workout. A gym app and a training log in one, not another price list.

Built by a lifter who got tired of guessing his intensity.

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The plan follows your split, not the other way round. Ready-made workout programs for push/pull/legs, upper/lower and full body are included; your own programs, exercises and rep ranges you set up yourself.

The exercise database holds more than 200 exercises with muscle assignment — barbell, dumbbell, machine, cable and bodyweight, from bench press, squat and deadlift to isolation work for biceps, triceps and calves.

Progressive overload runs on rules you can see: double progression in beginner mode, top set plus back-off for experienced lifters, and Classic, Dynamic and Redline on top of that.

Not a sheet of paper you throw away after four weeks — a workout routine that takes its own notes.

Gym or home gym, bodybuilding or plain weight lifting, muscle building or just a clean record: as long as you log sets, reps and weight, IronTally fits.

Questions, bugs, requests: irontally.app@gmail.com — every mail gets read.

IronTally is not a substitute for medical or physiotherapeutic advice.
Gym tracker for strength training & hypertrophy — every suggestion explained.

What’s new

• Calmer design: clearer text sizes, and selected items no longer look like buttons.
• Bigger buttons on the rest bar during workouts, and the RIR prompt now sits at the bottom within thumb reach.
• The summary shows weights in your unit (kg or lb) and puts records at the top.
• The home screen shows your latest record under the quote of the day. Swipe the card away to hide it for today.
