About this app

Adventure Cache is an outdoor treasure-hunting app. Hide small containers ("caches") for others to find, hunt for caches near you on a map, and log what you discover. Every find, cache, and adventure you create is kept in one place, so your outings build into a journal you can share.

FIND CACHES NEAR YOU
• Browse caches, adventures, and finds on a map, or search by name.
• See Cache of the Day and Nearby Caches on the Explore page.
• Check each cache's difficulty and terrain rating before you go, and filter the map by them.
• Use Find mode: an arrow and a live distance guide you to the cache.
• Get directions and the local weather for any cache.

HIDE AND CREATE
• Hide a cache: add its location, a description, photos, hints, and questions.
• Add an optional Color Clache color puzzle that players solve to unlock a cache.
• Print a QR tag for a cache or collectable, then scan it in the field to open it.
• Build adventures: link caches in the order you choose, or let Shortest Route order them.
• Create collectables that players can take, move to another cache, or give to a friend, and follow each one's journey.
• Get a warning if you try to hide a cache too close to another one.

LOG AND TRACK
• Log finds and cache visits with notes and photos.
• Mark caches you've found and heart your favorites.
• Record your route while you run an adventure, then share a recap.
• Earn badges, keep a daily streak, and play the daily Color Clache puzzle.
• Export your caches and routes as GPX files.

PLAY TOGETHER
• Public profiles, an Activity page, and weekly leaderboards (you can leave the global board anytime).
• Comment and reply on caches, adventures, and finds.

SAFETY AND PRIVACY
• Players accept Community Guidelines before posting publicly.
• Report any record, comment, or visit, and block players to hide their content.
• Photos and videos have their location data removed before upload.
• Delete anything you created, or delete your account from Settings.

WORKS OFFLINE
• Keep creating and logging without a signal. Changes wait in the Sync Queue and upload when you're back online.

GET STARTED IN SECONDS
• Tap Continue Locally to try everything on your phone with no account, including a practice trail.
• Sign in with Microsoft or Google when you want to share caches and find other players' caches.
