About this app

SARCOM is a Search & Rescue incident command platform for SAR teams and their members. It brings the paperwork, the roster, and the map into one place so an incident commander can run a callout and field members can see their assignment.

INCIDENT COMMAND
• Spin up an incident and auto-seed a FEMA ICS packet (201/202/203/204/205/211/214)
• Fill and export the official FEMA fillable forms from live incident data
• Check-in / check-out with ICS-211 accountability and response-team assignment
• Operational log that auto-documents into ICS-214 in mission-local time
• Initial-response and search-team-briefing checklists

MAPPING & SEARCH
• CalTopo / SARTopo integration — push rings, segments, and markers
• Draw search segments in-app and assign them to a team
• Live GPS breadcrumbs on the operational and member mission maps
• Lost Person Behavior probability rings and a terrain-aware high-value-area heat overlay (clearly labeled when using demonstration statistics)

FIELD MEMBERS
• Background GPS tracking while deployed, with a persistent notification — your track feeds Incident Command's map
• A focused Mission view: your team, your objectives, your sector

TEAM RECORDS
• Credential and qualification vault with expiry tracking and verification
• K9 team registry: certifications, training logs, deployment history
• Evidence / photo vault with optional custody-grade mode (SHA-256, immutable)
• Equipment, documents, address book, groups, on-call board, and calendar

SARCOM requires an account and membership in a SAR team; it is a professional tool for organized search and rescue, not a consumer navigation app.

Location: SARCOM records your location in the background only while you are actively tracking a search, so Incident Command can see where you have covered. A notification is shown the entire time tracking is active.

There are no in-app purchases — team subscriptions are billed off-device.

What’s new

Tracking no longer loses part of a track when you stop out of signal; buffered points keep uploading.

New: compose a satellite message to Command from Field-Ops, formatted for SMS or inReach.

Equipment now nests: scan a trailer or case to see everything inside. Adds RFID tags, plus manufacture, visual and hydro dates for air cylinders.

Credentials now warn at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days, and again if one lapses.

K9 deployments can use a search area drawn in Map-Builder.
