HOW BLOC USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
Bloc uses Android's AccessibilityService API to block the apps you choose. This is the core feature of Bloc and it cannot work without it.
• When you turn on Bloc's accessibility service, Bloc detects which app is open on your screen.
• If that app is one you blocked for a focus session or it has passed its daily limit, Bloc shows the block screen over it.
• Bloc only checks which app is in the foreground. It does not read what you type, your messages, passwords or any other content on your screen.
• Bloc uses this only to decide when to show the block screen. Blocking events, including the name of an app you chose to block, may be included in the diagnostics Bloc uses to fix problems. Nothing else from this service leaves your phone.
• Bloc explains this and asks for your consent inside the app before you turn the service on. You can turn it off anytime in your phone's Accessibility settings.
Bloc is built for people who are tired of losing hours to their phone. Less phone. More life.
