This app has overstepped its bounds of checking for malware: it flagged Nova Launcher and Tasker, two venerable, *paid* apps as malware and refused to proceed. As a result, this app is totally unusable (you literally cannot proceed further). NONE of the other mobile banking apps I have does this.

Disruptive Security Alert BOC app used to be quite useful but the recent update that includes the BOC's own anti-malware tool makes the app totally unusable. Like many users, I've installed reputable anti-virus apps on my phone such as BitDefender and Microsoft Defender but BOC assess these apps as risky and unless I uninstall these security apps, I cannot use the BOC banking app. I strongly urge BOC to review its security alert and not compel users to uninstall certified anti-virus systems.

The malware shield lacks clarity, as it doesn't specify which app poses a risk. This makes it difficult to take proper action. In another bank’s app, it even flagged my McAfee antivirus as malware and prompted me to disable it, which could compromise my phone’s security. That bank has since improved their app. I hope your team will review this feature for better accuracy and user guidance.
