How to connect this smart TV remote app to Apple TV?
1. Ensure your TV is connected to the home Wi-Fi and is on the same network as your smart phone.
2. Open the Remote Control for Apple TV, select the target device, and start controlling your TV.
3. If you choose to use IR mode, you must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. The usual working range is 5-15ft.

Troubleshooting:

it is misleading, i paid for the universal remote lifetime support and it does not connect to the device at all on either of my phones. additionally it seems to want me to pay for the membership PER device. if i get the universal one, why is there a pop up for another remote to buy/download. This is not a well designed app, and if support does not reach back out soon, i will be seeking a refund. very disappointing l

Needed a remote in a pinch for our stay at an AirBnb because the batteries in the TV remote were dead. The ads were ridiculous. I would understand a couple ads here and there, but it was every few button presses. I tried to turn the volume up and all it would do is pull up the upgrade app splash screen every time followed by an ad. The app works in a pinch, but the amount of ads is beyond insane. Instead of dealing with the ads I'm buying batteries tomorrow while I'm out and about. Do better.

App worked well for connecting to a TV in air bnb with no remote. But the ads ruin it. I understand some ads are needed on a free app but there's so many and they last so long. I was rewinding to watch something I missed, an ad opens and by the time it's over it's rewound 20 minutes. Had to uninstall and find a better app. Real shame
