How to connect this smart TV remote app to Apple TV?
1. Ensure your TV is connected to the home Wi-Fi and is on the same network as your smart phone.
2. Open the Remote Control for Apple TV, select the target device, and start controlling your TV.
3. If you choose to use IR mode, you must point your phone’s IR blaster directly at the TV. The usual working range is 5-15ft.

this app completely sucks. you get 2 ads on start up, then a screen about paying for an ad free subscription pops up, then once you connect to the TV you get another 2 ads. it takes about 3 minutes to just be able to control the TV.. BUT WAIT! You only get to press a button 7 times before another 2 ads pop up!! the only reason i use this app is because it's the only one that will detect my TV.

so many invasive ads I couldn't tell if I'd actually downloaded the remote or if I was downloading a fake shell that would just give me ads for online remote apps. a scam-ish feeling. And then it asks for a review before I even have the chance to use it. Feels dirty. What's more, the developer's answer yo buy the app for no ads is as funny as it is offensive. Why would we buy any app where the ads acted like a maze and we couldn't use it? If the developer is capable, the marketer isn't.

It works, but the ads make it basically unusable. There are two long video ads each time you open the app and connect to the tv, two self promo pop ups. Then every 5-10 clicks, there's a new ad that pops up. So I'm trying to turn down the volume, every 5 clicks or 9 if I'm lucky I have to stop and wait a long time for the ads to stop just to continue. Which, every 5 clicks or 9 is really maybe a 3 seconds between ads. makes it unusable and unbearable. I hate this app so much, it pisses me off.
