How 4kus uses the AccessibilityService API

4kus uses Android's AccessibilityService API to power its core app-blocking feature: the service detects when you open an app you have chosen to block, so 4kus can immediately show the unlock challenge before you start scrolling.

Your privacy is protected:
• The service only observes which app is in the foreground — it cannot and does not read your screen content, messages, passwords, or payment information (window content retrieval is disabled).
• No data from the service is collected, stored remotely, or shared with anyone.
• The service is optional and only activated if you enable it yourself in Android Settings, after 4kus explains why it's needed.
• You can disable the service or uninstall 4kus at any time.
