Simple, yet pretty reliable app. Seems that most of the problems with the widget, that people reported, related to permissions to "use GPS all the time". If it is off, the widget will not be able to access GPS chip, since the app is in background.

​CamSam Plus has been an absolute lifesaver for keeping me mindful of my speed and aware of upcoming cameras. ​The only minor issue is how it handles audio alerts. Right now, when a camera alert comes up, it simply mutes my music. Because the song keeps playing in the background silently, I end up missing chunks of my favorite tracks or podcasts. It would be a massive improvement if the app actually paused the media playback during an alert, and then resumed right where it left off.

I love this app, it doesn't use much mobile data like Waze does and it has a great widget functionality. It runs in the background and when there is a warning it will appear on the screen. I tested it in Germany and Switzerland and it knows 98% of all speed cameras, which is great. The only downside is that you cannot disable the warning "No GPS, searching for satellites". I live in an area with lots of tunnels and I have to listen to this sentence 20 times a day, which is very annoying.
