CanvasRunner is for the small, single-purpose apps you make for yourself — a planner for a trip you're taking, a tracker for a goal you're working toward, a budget you actually want to keep an eye on. Ask an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other) for a single-page app, share or paste it into CanvasRunner, and it becomes a real app that runs entirely on your phone: offline, from local files, with no server and no website behind it.
App-store apps are built for a million people, so they're full of things you don't need. The apps you keep here do one job — yours — with no ads, no upsells, and no sign-up wall on the apps themselves.
• Share sheet — CanvasRunner is a share target. Send an app straight from your assistant's app, a notes app, or an email, and it becomes a launchable local app. It never auto-creates anything; you confirm every one.
• Change it any time — every app has a real JavaScript console, a network request log, and a storage view: the kind of thing Android won't give you without a USB cable and desktop Chrome. When something's off, tap "Copy fix prompt", paste it back to your assistant, and get a new version.
• Native capabilities — post notifications and trigger haptics from your app, pin the apps you use to your home screen, and keep each app's data isolated in its own storage.
• Yours to keep — sign in with Google or email and your apps back up privately to your account, so they follow you to a new phone. Delete everything from Settings whenever; it's your data.
CanvasRunner does not proxy, embed, or render any third-party website. Every app it runs is authored by you.
