idk if this app was sold to someone else or what, but they just introduced advertisements on free accounts. not to mention the changes they've made lately to the AI difficulty and puzzles. both are geared more toward making you feel like you're improving while not actually doing so cuz they're way easier. i went from rarely beating an 1800 AI before to winning every time. they make stupidly obviously blunders when theyre winning. anyway, I'll be looking for a different app to play on.

Thank you for this feedback. The difficulty levels of the Bots have not changed recently, but we will investigate for any potential error. We know ads aren't ideal, but they are what allow us to keep the game free, to innovate, and to create major chess events. You can remove all ads for a very low fee! I have been using this app for a long time and have generally had a positive experience. However, when I recently encountered an issue and tried to contact support, I realized there is no way to reach a human representative. The issue I am experiencing is that games are being marked as abandoned before the one‑minute timer expires when I switch to another app. This is causing penalties despite me returning within the allowed time. As a long‑time user, it is frustrating.

Sorry for the difficulties! A game may be ruled "abandoned" in as little as 15 seconds if a disconnection occurs in a lost position. This is designed to prevent stalling when a game is clearly lost. Here is an article with more information: https://support.chess.com/article/338-how-does-game-abandonment-work

I am sick of not being able to look at the end game screen without reviewing popping up. also, it tries to send a new challenge when I review. I had a game disappear, then reappear, telling me it had timed out and that I lost, but I gained rating wise??? i try to review a game but it then wants me to start a new game with that user. WHY????? i pay for diamond premium and if this is what it's like I will be canceling soon.

Thank you for this feedback. The game over display is meant to provide helpful options, including game analysis or new games. However, we'll consider adding settings to customize this!

What’s new

Hey, chess-lovers! This new version brings improvements and fixes throughout the app - and some great new features too!

* Level up your Puzzle practice by earning points for every correct move. Keep solving to advance and earn new scoring bonuses!
* Game Review now estimates your rating in that match - and shows how well you played at each stage of the game!
* In Daily Chess, you can now "program" moves to be triggered automatically when your opponent makes a move you expected!

Thank you!
