The app that you need so you can drive your electric vehicle through Europe without any worries whatsoever – with 100% green energy at a charging capacity of up to 350 kW and with the CCS (Combined Charging System) as standard for all electric vehicles. Going to the supermarket in your electric car? Not a problem. Going on trips in your electric car? Not a problem anymore either. Thanks to IONITY and the IONITY Charging app. Europe’s leading and fastest charging network is ready and waiting for you. Where? Along Europe’s motorways. Where exactly? That will be revealed to you by the app. You can use it to easily find the nearest or a specific IONITY charging point. For better orientation, there are photos of each station.

The app doesn’t just help you find a station quickly, but also ensures you can charge conveniently. Simply start and stop your charging session directly from the app. Track your charging progress and receive a notification as soon as your vehicle’s battery is 80% or 100% charged – all while you sit back and enjoy a coffee.

Paying is also child’s play: save your credit card details, pay quickly and easily and get on with your drive.

Ratings and reviews

As much as I like Ionity and the fast charging, I still can't activate the chargers with this app. it worked for a few months and then it quit on November 10, 2022. I've been reporting the issue but as of February 2023, there is still no fix. I'm paying the monthly service, but in order to charge, I have to call my wife who activates the chargers remotely from her iPhone. It's outrageous.

The biggest problem I have with this app is searching for chargers when planning a journey. I can look at, for example, Córdoba on the map, which at that stage is not showing any chargers. The search comes back "not found". It doesn't matter which town I search for "not found". Am I doing something wrong or should I use a different app?

1) Onboarding UX fail. Because other methods (itsme) didn't work when onboarding the app, i had to scan a QR code. That was displayed on my phone. With the app. Yes... So i had someone take a picture of the QR code that i then could scan with my banking app. Noice... 2) Receipts are not mailed. Email verification works fine. Checked spam folders etc obviously. No receipts... 3) I give one star because after 4 or 5 tries i eventually succeeded in getting my car charged.
