About this app

Colonel Weather shows the weather as seen by those who know it: a map that comes to life, not
a list of icons.

WIND YOU CAN SEE
The currents flow across the map like trails: you can see at a glance where the wind is coming from,
where it tightens between the hills and where it calms down. The color indicates its intensity.

TEMPERATURE AND RAIN
Two color layers with a readable scale: from cold altitudes to heat waves, and the
rain bands with the expected cumulative rainfall.

UP TO SIX DAYS
The time bar scrolls through the hours: tap the moment you're interested in and the map jumps to it.
Tap any point and read the forecast there.

SEARCH WITHOUT NETWORK
The app contains 47,000 locations, almost 15,000 in Italy: search for your country and you'll find it
even without an internet connection, with or without accents. For precise addresses, there's an online search.

WHERE ARE YOU
One tap and the map centers on you, with the forecast for your current location. Your location
stays on your phone: it's never sent to anyone.

WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
From models from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF Open Data,
CC BY 4.0 license), developed for easy download. OpenStreetMap basemap.

NO FRILLS
No account, no advertising, no data collection.
