About this app

With the free photoTAN app, you can authorize online banking transactions securely and quickly.





Here's how the photoTAN process works via computer:
You perform a transaction on another device, such as a PC.

Your transaction is automatically transferred to the comdirect photoTAN app, and a notification appears on your smartphone. Tapping the notification opens the photoTAN app. Review the transaction and authorize the TAN by sliding the arrow from left to right.

The familiar scan function of the comdirect photoTAN app remains available. This is recommended, for example, if your smartphone is not connected to the internet. To use it, select the "photoTAN Graphic" method on your computer and then open the scan function in the bottom left corner of the comdirect photoTAN app on your smartphone.





Here's how the App2App process works:
You perform a transaction in another comdirect app. During the authorization process for your transaction, the photoTAN app will open automatically. Confirm your order by sliding the arrow from left to right.

How to activate the photoTAN app before first use:
Log in to your comdirect personal area with your access number and PIN and follow the instructions for "Activate photoTAN" until the activation graphic is displayed. Download the comdirect photoTAN app to your smartphone and follow the instructions in the app. Once the app is activated, you can use the two methods mentioned above.





FAQ "What permissions does the app use?"

The "Camera" permission is required in the standard procedure for scanning the photoTAN graphic.

FAQ "Does the app work with multiple comdirect accounts?"

You can connect the app to up to 8 accounts. You need a separate activation letter for each account.

Keep crashing in Android Work Profile. This happens after the latest September upgrade. Crashing even after uninstalling and clearing cache and user data.

Just hangs forever after entering the app password. No timeout, no error message. Dreadful!

Danke fuer das Feedback, nun habe ich aber ein weiteres Problem. Beim Installieren der photoTAN stelle ich fest, das der QR code nicht mehr lesbar ist. Die App erkennt den QR code nicht. Den QR Code entnehme ich dem Brief den ich erhalten habe. Der QR Code soll dauerhaft gueltig sein, laut Anschreiben...thx!
