The Cryonics Institute’s Check-In app is a simple alarm and alert system that lets your phone send a message for help when you're not able to. The app uses a simple alarm system that checks-in on you or a loved one at selected times during the day. If the user fails to respond to one of the scheduled alarms, the app will automatically send a text message for help to up to five contacts.
The app is ideal for for persons who live alone or for times when you're fishing, hiking or otherwise out of contact, adding an extra level of security in the event of an emergency. For cryonics members, the app is designed to augment your current standby notification plans.
Set it up for yourself or someone else in three easy steps:
Pick contacts to message.
Set check-in frequency, e.g. every 4 hours.
Tell it when to be quiet, e.g. at night, while you sleep.
Customize to fit your lifestyle: Check in once a day, or once an hour. All day, specific days, or between certain hours - it's up to you.

* Your network provider may charge for texts sent from this app, depending on your plan. Please be informed of the costs associated with sending text (SMS) messages on your network before using the app.
* The CI Check-In app has been built to be as robust as possible, but as with all phone apps, issues can occur. Please do not rely entirely on this as your sole standby alert system or as your only method of knowing the well-being of an individual.
