Just an all-around great file manager - intuitive user interface, stable, good balance of features. I've used it for years and have no plan to switch. FYI - I'm also a big fan of Ghost Commander, which has a traditional two-pane interface like Norton Commander for DOS or mc on *nix.. Now GC is a completely different style of interface, and can't be directly compared to CX, but if you are looking for that type of experience, give GC a look.

Probably the most useful SMB/AFP/NFS portal for Android, makes managing my physical server and VM builds on the fly a breeze, with direct access to PCs and tablet files as well. Before, I was manually dragging files from devices onto my desktop, and then passing them over. While speeds over 802.11AC aren't ideal (around ⅒ of a cabled device at gigabit) they are still great when moving large amounts of raw photos from my DSLR, and can run in the background even on a low-spec Android phone.

As many others have said, I used ES File Explorer. I just upgraded to a Note 10+ from a Note 8 I had for 5 years and ES disappeared during the transition. I really needed something to access my NAS devices and nothing else I tried was nearly as easy and fast than Cx. I've only just installed it, but it looks like the best one out there for my purposes.
