About this app

You have quit. Now you have to hold on, and it is the morning coffee, the 10.30 break and the terrace at 10 p.m. that decide. Stop Smoke counts the days, the money still in your pocket and the cigarettes you never lit. And when a craving rises, it gives you three minutes of help, right away.

Ten at night, everyone on the terrace reaches for their pack. You open the app, you press "I want one", you breathe for three minutes. The craving fades, and it goes into your journal.

The morning coffee without the cigarette that used to come with it. The counter tells you what you gained since yesterday, and the marker of the day tells you where you are.

Day three, the worst day, and you give in. The app resets nothing. It asks what was going on, and it keeps counting. A relapse is data, not a return to square one.

The counter moves continuously, not in midnight jumps: days, hours, money, cigarettes never lit.

The "I want one" button opens a three-minute guided breathing session, puts back in front of you what you wrote on the day you quit, and keeps a trace of the craving in your journal.

Ten health milestones mark the way, from your pulse and blood pressure back to normal in twenty minutes to your risk of heart attack halved after a year. Every milestone shows its source, Tabac info service and Santé publique France, on the screen where it appears.

One marker a day for ninety days, written for the exact day you are on.

A home screen widget shows your days and your money without opening the app.

It works for vaping and nicotine pouches too. What is counted is the nicotine, not only the cigarette.

The app asks for no account and needs no network. It carries no advertising and never will. Your cravings, your consumption and your quit date stay on your phone: nothing leaves it. You can export everything, and erase everything, from the settings.

Stop Smoke is entirely free in this version. There is nothing to unlock, nothing to buy, no seven-day trial.

Stop Smoke is not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for advice from a health professional. To quit smoking, talk to your doctor or your pharmacist. The app shows the free national quitline for your country where there is one — Tabac info service on 39 89 in France, 1-800-QUIT-NOW in the United States, the Smokefree National Helpline in the United Kingdom, Quitline in Australia. Everywhere else it points you to your doctor or your pharmacist.

French and English.
The counter that remembers why, and a hand the moment the craving hits.
