About this app

Your timetable, your homework and your grades, in one place that works with no
connection and no account.

School is a private notebook for the school year. Nothing is shared with your
school, a teacher or a parent. There is no sign-up, no cloud and nothing to
subscribe to.

★ A TIMETABLE THAT REMEMBERS WHAT LAST TERM SAID

Most planners store a grid, so changing a lesson quietly rewrites every week
that has already gone. This one stores rules with dates on them.

When you move Maths to Thursday, the app asks a question first: is this a
correction that was always meant to be true, or does it change from a date? If
it changes from a date, last term keeps exactly what it said. If it is a
correction, it is fixed everywhere. Two answers, both offered, and neither one
guessed at.

★ THE THINGS A REAL TERM DOES TO A TIMETABLE

- Holidays and half terms: named ranges of dates with no lessons.
- A cancelled period, on one date only.
- A room change for one week, without touching the timetable.
- An exam in place of a lesson, or an extra class in a free period.

None of these leak into any other week.

★ HOMEWORK AND EXAMS

- Due dates, subjects, and notes with room for the page numbers.
- What is due today, what is late, and what is coming in the next seven days.
- One evening reminder about tomorrow, off until you switch it on, and it says
how many things are due rather than what they are.

★ GRADES, WORKED OUT EVERY TIME

- Enter a mark as a score out of a total, the way it is written on the paper.
- Choose total points, or split a subject into parts with a share each.
- The average is computed from your marks every time it is shown, so
correcting one mark is enough and nothing is ever left stale.
- A part with no marks in it yet is left out rather than counted as nought.

These averages are your own arithmetic on marks you typed in, using the
weighting you chose. They are not official results and your school has not
seen them. The app says so on the grades screen.

★ IT IS ALL YOURS, AND IT IS ALL FREE

- Every feature is free. Nothing is behind a video and nothing is behind a
subscription.
- Export everything to one file whenever you like, and import it back.
- Works completely offline. The internet is used for ads and nothing else.
- No account, no cloud backup, and nothing sent anywhere.

★ SMALL THINGS THAT MATTER

- Light, dark, or follow the phone. Material You colours if you want them.
- The week can start on Monday, Saturday, Sunday or whatever your phone says.
- The lesson happening right now is marked, in words as well as colour.
- Ten subject colours, with the subject name beside every one of them.

Because everything stays on this phone, uninstalling the app deletes it. Export
a copy before you change phone.

What’s new

Every row in Settings now answers when you tap its words.

Tapping "Privacy policy", "More from Dash Fusion", the reminder time, "Export everything" or "Import a backup" used to do nothing - only the small button under each one worked, and a screen reader heard two buttons both called "Open". Now the whole row is the button, and it still tells a screen reader what it will do.
