A voice recorder that keeps recording.

Lock the screen, switch to your notes, answer a message - it carries on, with a notification that shows the running time and stops it without going back into the app.


★ RECORDING
• A running clock and a live level meter, so you can see it is hearing you
• Pause and resume as often as you like; the paused time is not counted
• Keeps going when you leave the app or turn the screen off
• Three quality settings, from small voice notes to interview quality


★ MARKERS
• Drop a marker while recording, or while listening back
• Tap one to jump straight to that moment
• Name them, so "the bit about the budget" is findable a month later


★ PLAYING BACK
• Scrub bar, and 10 seconds back or forward
• 1x, 1.5x and 2x, for listening to an hour of meeting in half of one


★ TRIMMING
• Cut a start and an end point off a recording
• Nothing is re-encoded, so the part you keep is bit for bit the original
• Cuts land on audio frame boundaries - a few hundredths of a second - and the app shows you where the cut will actually be, not where you tapped
• Markers move with the trim, and any that fall outside the cut are removed


★ FINDING IT AGAIN
• Search by name; accents and any keyboard's digits are handled, so "reunion" finds "Réunion"
• Folders to group things - one level, no nesting to get lost in
• Deleting a folder never deletes a recording, it only removes the label


★ YOURS, AND ON YOUR PHONE
• Works completely offline - airplane mode changes nothing
• No account, no sign-up, no cloud, nothing uploaded
• No storage permission is asked for: recordings live in this app's own private space, where nothing else on the phone can read them
• They are excluded from Android cloud backup on purpose, so they are never copied to a Google account
• Share any recording out through the normal share sheet whenever you want a copy elsewhere

Because recordings are kept in the app's private space, uninstalling the app deletes them. Share out anything you want to keep first.


★ ADS
No banner ads anywhere. There is a full-screen ad occasionally, after a recording is saved and you are back at the list - never while you are recording, and never while you are listening. An optional video turns ads off for a day.

What’s new

Counts read properly now.

A recording with one marker said 1 markers in the list, and Settings described a single recording as 1 recordings. Both now use the right word, and the trim warning about a single marker reads correctly too.
