About this app

More than a logbook.

DiverCity keeps your dives the way a paper logbook does, and then keeps everything a paper logbook cannot: the gear you dived with and when it was last serviced, the people who were down there with you, and the papers a dive centre asks to see before they let you in the water.

READ YOUR PAPER LOGBOOK
Years of dives on paper? Photograph a page, up to four at a time, and DiverCity reads it: date, site, depth, time, temperature, notes, the dive master, the stamps and any drawing on the page. Everything it was unsure of is marked, nothing is saved until you have checked it, and you can frame a stamp it missed. Reading a page needs a connection and uses credits, bought on Google Play; a one-time trial pack costs very little. Only the photograph leaves your phone, and it is deleted after reading.

READ YOUR DIVE COMPUTER
Photograph the summary screens of a dive, up to four, and DiverCity turns them into one dive: depth, time, temperature, gas. A number the screen does not label becomes a one-tap question, and the app learns your computer. A photo of the dive brief adds the site and dive master.

EVERY DIVE
Site, date, depth, duration, water temperature, air in and out, weight, suit, buddies, whatever notes you want to keep, and a sketch or drawing of the dive. Everything is optional.

PEOPLE AND SITES
Your dive masters and their stamps, your clubs, dive centres and boats, your buddies and the sites you added, each in one list. Correct a name once and every dive follows.

YOUR GEAR, AND WHEN IT IS DUE
Your kit, its service intervals, its receipts and its manuals. The app tells you what needs attention before the trip, not after it. Regulators, computer, BCD, suit, and a rebreather if that is what you dive.

TRIPS
Group a week of diving under one name, with its own cover photograph. The trip works out its own totals: how many dives, the deepest, the total time under.

YOUR PAPERS, WITH YOU
The things a dive centre asks for before they let you in the water. Your certification cards, as a photo or a PDF: the agency, the level, the number, the year. Your insurance: company, policy number, what it covers, the date it runs out, and the certificate itself. Open any of them full screen, with a link to the official site where you can sign in.

CLUB STAMPS
Photograph the stamp your dive centre presses into your logbook, and apply it to every dive of the trip in one tap. The picture is stored once, however many dives share it.

SHARE A DIVE, OR A WHOLE TRIP
Send a dive to the person you dived it with, or a whole week in one link. They open it, see what you sent, tick what they want, and it lands in their own logbook under their own numbering, never twice. The link is made on your phone and carries the dives itself, so it works with no signal and passes through no server.

DIVE SITES AND MAPS
Thousands of sites and towns ship inside the app. Search by name, by region or by country with no connection. Your site is not listed? Put it on the map yourself, in seconds. Online, a map viewed close in also shows its lakes and rivers.

STATS
Depth spread, hours underwater, sites visited, and goals you set yourself: 250 dives, 200 hours, 50 sites, all editable.

EXPORT
UDDF for Subsurface and most dive software, CSV for a spreadsheet, a printable PDF logbook, and your photographs as a zip. Your logbook leaves whenever you want it to.

BACKED UP TO YOUR OWN GOOGLE ACCOUNT
Your logbook is saved to your own Google backup, the account already on your phone. A new phone brings your dives back on its own. We never see your logbook: it never passes through a DiverCity server. (Dive photographs and sketches stay out of the backup, which has a size limit. Export takes everything.)

MADE FOR THE BOAT
No signal on a liveaboard, in a marina, in airplane mode. The maps, the sites and your whole logbook are on the phone, so the app does not wait for a network that is not coming. Only reading a page or a screen and drawing lakes need one.
Log every dive, your gear, your cards, your insurance. Usable offline.
