Family Protector is a transparent parental control & screen time app. Set daily screen time limits, lock your child's phone remotely, and see app usage in real time — all from your own device, with full transparency and no hidden monitoring.

⚠️ Family Protector is exclusively for parents or legal guardians monitoring their own children's devices. It is not designed for tracking adults. A persistent notification is always shown on the child's device whenever monitoring is active — your child will always know the app is running.

👨‍👩‍👧 HOW IT WORKS

1. Parent installs the app and registers a Parent account.
2. Child installs the app and registers a Child account using the parent's pairing code.
3. Parent grants Device Administrator permission on the child's device (one-time, fully disclosed).
4. The parent dashboard goes live with full screen time controls.

• All data is stored securely in Google Firebase with strict access rules — parents only see data for their own linked devices.
• No data is sold or shared with third parties.
• Child device data is only accessible to the linked parent account.

📋 PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED

• Device Administrator — required to lock the child's device remotely.
• App Usage Stats — required to monitor screen time and app usage.
• Foreground Service — keeps monitoring running with a persistent notification on the child's device.
• Notifications — alerts parents about screen time events.
• Boot Completed — restarts monitoring after reboot so protection stays continuous.
