Can't get it to work. Finds the device but won't controll it. Latest firmware installed on the M-CR610. Network controll set to ON. No reponse from icons. Power button shows a strange ingrish promt: "Do you change the settings to turn on the device from this app - yes/no"... no ideer what he is asking. Been at it for hours... I give up.
Must regretfully agree I was hoping to lighten the reviews up a bit, but in testing this app I only got as far as typing my receiver's IP (yes, I did type it correctly), before getting the response: "This device is not supported". My model is an SR5006, that I bought as new just two years ago. AVR-Remote supports it perfectly fine.
No longer works! Tried this app a couple months and it did perform a minimal set of functions. Volume control, on/off, somewhat limited (as I recall) input switching. M-CR610 firmware has been updated since last use, not sure if app itself has been updated. In any case, the app now has zero functionality.
Not great Any attempt to browse a DLNA server with this app makes it crash. Trying to play music from my XBMC (Kodi) library using my SR5008 in Zone 2 is a no-go. It will let me select and play internet radio in Zone 2, however.
Very lousy Please do comparison with yamaha app and come up with a better update.... Using nr1605 now just for small setup. Disappointing i was gonna get the Sr 7009 but I'm going for the yamaha instead.
App Development Are the Marantz developers still working on this app, our have they just published a prototype. Last update was back in December. The idea of the application is good, but it is simply useless to all the bugs. Every time the app loads I have to specify the device again, or it enters settings mode. Very odd, very basic. I don't understand why a company who stands for quality can offer such a weak product. Embarrassing. It destroys the overall product. Please make a good app we all can be proud of or leave it.
