About this app

This app for Android Phone and Tablet devices will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below). A wide portfolio of useful features, nicely designed graphics and easy to operate user interface do make the app a useful tool to control your AVR.
Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings. Have direct access to Quick Select and Surround Modes.
Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
With the Denon AVR Remote, your Android device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience.

*1: A firmware update for your Denon product is may be needed, please update the firmware via the system setup menu (General > Firmware). If the App doesn't work well, please try to reboot your mobile device, unplug the power cord of the main unit and reinsert into the power outlet or check your home network.
*2: Please set "Network Control" to "ON" in your product via the system setup menu to use this app. (Network > Network Control)
*3: The OS language setting is automatically detected; when not available, English is selected.

Mirrors all menu functionality afaik. However, Denon REALLY needs to implement a way to actually reboot the receiver and at least the web server. Turning the power off and on does not restart it and unplugging the thing because my 6800 starts spazzing out and desyncs from streaming or arc output is not ok. This thing was a few grand. We should at least get some basic features like a reboot option. (>_>)

Really sucks!! Like everyone else, I wish I could say 0 stars. App only works 10 percent of the time. I thought it would be amazing to have something that would be able to control my sound system on my phone. However, this proves to be trash and a waste of space on my phone. It buffers constantly upon opening, and when it finally does get past the buffering, it takes forever to load and read my system. I guess it works just as well as the denon sound system. Trash basically!!!

Like many others. It worked when I first installed it. 2 months later, the app opens and says it is loading, but it never does. It will do this for as long as I leave it running. What a POC. Edit the reason I could not connect to the receiver was because I included it in the device isolation in my router. Now I have to figure out what is blocked with that setting that keeps it from working.. I like to keep my network protected.
